I bought this unit for use in my home office. I searched the web and found this mini-receiver as the only 50-watts per channel. Considering that I have performed two Thiel CS2.2 's I wanted more than 25-30 watts per channel typical mini systems generally provided. I also wanted a unit that does not come with its speakers. This unit vaguely Bill and all. For $ 300, it is hard to beat. My primary use right now is the sound quality and sound is superb. Lowvolume levels are unclear and the possibility of sound does a good job without distorting the sound stage. The basic impulse is a waste since it obscures the clarity of sound quality. FM reception is very good with the supplied FM single line. AM reception is terrible, not unexpected, the allocation AM. If the system up and running in no time and I was very impressed by the quality of the sound signals generated by local FM and CD products. I myself burned CDare not as clear and the stage was not so obvious. There are options that EQ affects the sound slightly. The apartment available is very flat and probably will use it. Classical, rock, jazz and pop are all pretty close, but I could hear the slight differences in each establishment. Have not tried the iPod through the Aux 1 input at the front of the device, because I need to buy a connector through the other comments appeared to be provided with the camera. Was not included inmine. DVD will be a hook to come when I add a flat screen in my office I can not make any comment on the quality of DVD video. The unit sits on top of a case of books and the depth of the unit is not a problem at all. Remote works very well in any room and provides all functions necessary to enjoy the full range of options. Build quality seems very good so hopefully this is not a game for some time. One problem may be the CD / DVD drawer because it seems a bit 'fragile and it will take some' careful and gentle loading and unloading of discs. Not a real good start, because the unit I received was an open box. Obviously returned and refurbished. E 'was great, but at this price, I expected a factory sealed box (or off).
The same unit is perfect for my situation. I replaced my broken receiver and a DVD player with a single device. It 'was small enough that I could not move my rear speakers on the shelf with my receiver and PC media. The sound is excellent, but is more of a wide range of functions in the strict sensepackage. As someone pointed out that it is deep enough, but this is not a problem for me.

I use this receiver and audio equipment. But to put in place for the DVD on TV requires a PAL (European standard) has put on a Samsung HDTV and my settings without PAL. I keep it as I have another DVD player, but it is a problem.
