This TV is perfect except for the fact that after just over two weeks to possess it, we got a thick vertical green line down the center of the screen. Phillips said it was bad! and wanted to send a refurbished replacement …. and we had to pay on delivery of our TV back to them … Now, of course, was still under warranty, and we bought the extended warranty. We had just over two weeks, and wanted him replaced with a television used …. We spent almost1400 for a TV that would be replaced within two weeks. And beyond that … TV alternative to guarantee 90 days … then it would mean that we were screwed out of our intitial one year warranty and extended warranty 2 years …. and they were very rude and not helpful at all! If you already own this television, take a good look at the manual and read the warranty, I can guarantee that not being happy with what is written there. If you end up having a problem with the 'TV, it was screwed into the bottom of money spent on TV! I will never buy again PHILLIPS PRODUCT! After this issue, I did some research and found many others complaining about Philips LCD TV … and horrible customer service! So do yourself a favor and buy this TV unless you want to seize the opportunity to have a problem with it, and then not having a good company to protect its products and provide good service to their customers.

I bought LCD TV that five months ago to upgrade from my previous Philips 42PFL5332D/37 42 "LCD 720p. I wanted to go beyond 1080p and 120Hz are too cool to resist. I 'I was not disappointed, watching Blu-Ray is so phenomenal in this series, it feels like watching master copy of the study. 120Hz makes video games, sports and live broadcasts so alive and fluid, just do not use film, it creates a dramatic soap opera " that can be turned off by disabling the digitalNatural Motion "in the OSD. The property is beautiful, with rounded edges makes me think of a giant I-phone. The plastic trim adds sophistication and looks nice compared to other lifeless squares of all black. There are two driver behind the TV mini-woofer, as well as "invisible" tweeters, this TV is supposed to have improved audio on other HDTV do not know why I use a 7.1 channel surround system in place. 4x HDMI ports, future-proof. The only drawback is itsplain-Jane remote, get a Logitech Harmony and everything is ready. Let me ask you this way .. I went to see my San Diego Chargers play the Titans in Tennessee on Christmas Day, 8 lines on the ground, but had done so, I watch it on Philips! its very good.

I bought my Philips for a wholesale club for Christmas. I was watching and comparing the characteristics of various models. It 'been in the club and has been effective. I saw little difference between the Philips and more expensive models. Best of all, they told me I could bring it back within 90 days if I was not satisfied with the quality. After a few months with several adjustments, I finally set up correctly. I do not see much of blurring. Top Photosis to watch a movie on blu ray. It 'clear crisp. When watching normal television, I do not know if the transmission of this station affects sharpness.
Now that I think my comments in the club, they were probably playing a blue ray DVD. The real test is when you try with your local HDTV.
The remote is so cheap that we are still able to get the battery cover in place. I do not understand why this Niceresearch would be a boring remote search. The buttons should be larger, and grew a bit to make it easy to use. My other TV has a glossy black lacquer distance corresponds to more perfectly. But someone else said, does the job.
I am happy with my first HDTV flat screen. It seems very real on my wall.

I had been on the market for a new TV for a while '. I wanted an LCD HD, but my budget can not handle so many. When I saw the price of this TV I just bought. For this price you do not do better. The Ambilight is incredible when you look in the dark. It really helps eyes adapt to the changing picture very well. I was really special for a series that had a high contrast ratio, and this set has a decent dynamic contrastrelationship, not the best, but once again … your not going to do better for the money. The other image processing functions are fantastic and ridiculous offer a range of image adjustment. Oh, BTW, is not a small TV … Measures 50 inches wide, but it's worth. It 'very elegant and modern. One last thing, the options seem endless compenents clogging. The SD slot is impressive, no longer looking at the photos on a 3.5 "LCD camera. For the players is an impressive package: 1) Unlike plasma, LCDdoes not burn, 2) the maximum options for connecting game systems, 3) PIP you can watch TV and play on two screens of equal size, if not losing something (eg football ..!). Do yourself a favor and buy this TV!

The TV is amazing! Ask Ambilight in a dark room watching a movie, then shut it down. It feels like the TV all significantly decreased.

I bought this through Amazon / TigerDirect. great price, less than half the calls to Best Buy.
The TV is huge. Far more than "42 description would imply. Initially I did not think it would be appropriate.
The image with Ambilight is amazing. Much better than the other two series that I have HD. The TV tuner in this fact much more than the Sony HDTV tuner others, perhaps a hundred channels. There are over 400 channels, including analog cable on my Comcast.
The need to target directly to the TV remote to work. The interface connectors on the bottom of everything would be better with a diagram on the back of them. The side buttons are not labeled very well either.
He accepted all the media I used, including USB keys and others. The manual is a journey and too often. I'm not sure what all it does.

Firstly, it is really a television cool. It looks great turned off, and very cool with Ambilight Full. Furthermore, the President decent connection, easy and feel good.
That said, the remote is a sort of low grade – does the job, but not much, and the image is just fine. Whatever you do, do not go see the new elite plasmas or not buy this – the cost.
Overall, a pleasure for the purchase price – but not the best HDTV quality – not by a longshot …

We have this for about three years and finally I am exhausted. I agree with the opinion of other junk that is all the same problems that have expressed.
BEWARE: DVDs are non-standard & incompatible – Papoulka –
I am bitterly disappointed with the Philips DVDR-3400 recorder, and suppose that all lines have the same problems.
I have not found until it had burned 300 + DVDs that the disk directory structure created by these machines Phillips is defective. The title of the disk that appears to "play" on your home DVD player … but all post-registration changes (cutting the parts you did so on) are lost.
And most PC based DVD players and other softwareDo not treat the disk, so if you wrote your movies on long-term disk storage, you're out of luck.
I do not know how a company the size of Phillips may issue such a piece of shit. They had to deal with these problems. I'm sick of thinking about the time that I lost. Everything I have is junk to show for it. And yes, I did everything (finalized disc, etc.).
Add to that the terrible remote control with rubbery, non-return key, which often do not work; bit 'possibility of using the bridge for reading, etc. etc. (read the other complaints) and you have a real loser here.
I bought my first tape recorder Phillips in 1968. I will never buy another Phillips product.

I do not know if all machines do, but when you record a program (particularly in M3, M4, M6, M8 and how) the image is in front of audio (for example, someone heard before, you see the hand slap the face, then 1-2 seconds later you hear the sound of the person interviewed ?????). Video and audio are recorded separate course should ?????. M1, M2 and M2x seem to be the only option if you want to work in its natural state as it should. Speaking ofmethods of speed, if you want the best that I stay with suggess M1, M2, and the quality of M2x real image at a distance. we come to the M3 (s-video) you see the difference (not that bad extrordinarally), M4 (about the same as M3, but this speed falls into the category of standard VHS SP speed and that's really seeing the beginning of " image artifacts blocks). M6 is a big joke (even if you get a recording time). This is where you see things that happen down the Strait. an overabundanceblocking artifacts, and sometimes "blurred image". M8. Where do I even begin. very pixilated picture (even with the best source to start recording, as digital cable, for example.). including the Motion Picture "(the natural rate of image, as if you see something alive through their own eyes the color of life) is like the cheap", "VCD quality. Motion does'nt watch live, real or natural at all. So when VHS tapes to any video posted 615 related to PhilipsRCA jacks (yellow, white and red) and / or coaxial cable (the cable to the wall as) the image jumps, jumps and pauses during recording VHS to DVD or when they do (and a DVD has won 't have a troll , abandonment, or any defects and will always jump, skip and pause ?????). have a bad VHS tape?. be recorded correctly?. You can forget. this machine could not record VHS tapes correctly if your life depended on it. Working?. yes (M1, M2 and M2x only). This is a concern and nightmarework?. absolutely (M3, M4, M6, M8 and audio delays, bad Motion Picture "(M8 only to make things clear, VCD anyone ?????) color blocking artifacts, and even bleeding in the picture (especially red , orange, etc.). "optimizer mode for image filter Philips M3-M8" can not save the image quality on this machine. oh and how could I forget. wants 1h, 2h, 2 1/2h 3 hours , 4 hours and 6 hours of actual recording time, forget it. 1h and the way you get around 1:03:04, 2 hours mode is around 01:57:38, 3h mode, you2:58:18 movement mode of 4 hours around 03:58:16, 6 hours and conditions, moves 5:58:17 (estimated by every few seconds, more or less approx.). This is not good. finally, when every minute counts, this machine will not disappoint. nice car, but a nightmare to manage. What a mess. want to have support from Philips, you can forget that. I lost dozens of DVDs on this machine (lucid coasters anyone). In short, a missed opportunity for both parties (consumers and Philips). Zero stars. a big F-. allsuggestions for a good recording double-layer DVD recorder reliably without any problems?. all. I'm all ears !!!!!

I can not believe how little work. I bought it before there were comments – my mistake. Simply does not work. No matter how we adjust or move the antenna, it does not take a signal. The old rabbit ears that we had were much better – and cost about 1 / 3 the price of this. I was thinking of buying a new Philips LCD TV, but after my experience with this, I rethink that. This experience really makes me question the quality of Philips products.

12/8/09 I chose a unit of Philips [...] 19 million and received only a handful of stations, depending on the direction that I did the 'unit, which measures the antennae were Stretch, how high I held the equipment room, etc. I could bring in different stations according to the preceding sentence, the sacrifice of some for others. However, some local affiliates could barely, if necessary, present, even if they were classified as being easier to obtain from [...].
So I thought to tryunits amplified again by Philips (SDV2730/27). As people before me, no matter how I tried to boost or what direction I wanted, so I saw no improvement and also found that the stations sound I had worse. In addition to everything I paid $ 32 to [...]. At least it is cheaper on Amazon, but even if it were free, waste of time, period. So unless you live almost on top of your local station broadcasting to forget! I live in New Brunswick, OH and allmajor emitters of less than 20 miles from me. Think I'll just plan on an external drive if I decide to continue using the reception in the air. (Recently abandoned cable co.) Right now I go for the cheapest VHF / UHF I can.

A nice waste your $ 30. I have a $ 10 pair of rabbit ears that captures better than this piece of garbage. I stood there fiddling with the antenna and gain control while watching the signal strength meter, and nothing seems to change, no matter what I played. Save your money on these wastes.
