A must have – Dean Mucha – Fishers, IN USA
If you want a digital video recorder and HD all in one with DirecTV, you should get this, it has an interactive quality and allows you to connect to the Internet for additional programming. Though I think DirecTV is going out with a DVR throughout the house soon, and may want to hold off unless you worry.

HR20-700 much improved – Catherine Steger –
The HR20-700 HD IRD is much improved since it was released. Two built-in OTA tuners (ATSC), are now in operation (with firmware download 2007). Dual Live Buffers (Double Play), also now active.

I'm on the beta team DirecTV and we received many new features and improved stability compared to the previous version of firmware.

The HR21, HR22, HR23 and the units are similar, but with larger hard drives, even if only the HR20 has two tuners over the air.

I wish I would have seen these reviews before I put myself through this anguish. – Old & Cheap. – Michigan
I made the leap from cable A few weeks ago. Verizon has acquired a package as we know. Less channels for more money, ADSL, etc. Well, I lost some channels on the DVR / receiver, and spent half the control connections yesterday, to realign the dish and others. After the alignment of the dish with a meter and check the cables all the way to the receiver, I tried to reset the thing. Pressing the red button, unplug it, remove the paper and others. Time will do nothing. I had Dish Networkin the past and has not had too many problems other than the realignment of the dish or modification of a connector from time to time. So, I'm not a dummy when things go to hell. I have not received a bill from Direct TV yet. We'll see how things go after my call later that morning. Ya Live and Learn I guess.

Excellent Antenna – B. Sullivan – MA/NH
I saw the comments of the DB2 antenna design that seems to be based on and decided to give it a try. Design DB2 has good gain across the UHF frequency, which should be similar. I live 60 miles from Boston in town, very hilly. I was able to obtain a unique channel with a typical indoor antenna so I need a small antenna. When the antenna arrived, I immediately hooked (inside the house) and the SAT-top box it came in and boom, 7 channels of Boston4 of them in HD 1080i with the normal force signal is good. I could not be happier!
Remember, it's better to have the antenna away from the TV and all wireless network / E (Wifi, basic cordless phone, microwave, etc.).

Great attic antenna, indoor not recommended – Louie – California
Originally, I purchased this antenna as an internal antenna for the ground floor of a house and it was much cheaper than 2 bay antennas of other companies. I do not have reliable digital signal, no matter where I put the antenna. The transmission towers were 55 miles away and I thought I lost my money to get this thing. There was only one channel coming in strong and round so that the channel was about 25 miles away.

Some time later, my parents have complained digital horribleinternal antenna receives very different in their room and asked if it can be resolved. I had this antenna for storage and installed in the attic, connect to a cable that ran in their spare room.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how strong the signals were transmitted through the antenna in the attic. While 2 bay antenna like this are recommended for transmission towers 30 miles away, I received between 70% and 90% signal strength on digital channelswere 55 miles away. He also received a broadcast digital channel on channel 7 with the same signal strength without any particular problem, even if the antenna is not announced for the reception of channels 7 to 13. I also had some signals coming from a nearby TV market 75 miles away without pointing the antenna to them.

I recommend getting this antenna long as it is installed outside or in the attic.

If you want an indoor antenna, make sure they are under 25 yearsmiles of radio towers, or receiving reliable with this thing.

Great Antenna for the roof – A. Connor –
I live only about 15-20 miles of radio towers for the time I could take 1 or 2 stops on a good day with the rabbit ears consider my TV is in the basement and locked the house and trees. I decided to buy an antenna to be placed on the roof and chose it after searching the reviews, the most popular designs are the DB2 and DB4 and it was the same design as the DB2, but less than half the cost. This antenna is well constructed and it was very easy to install and creditsrealistically in a gain of 8 dB. Does not come with a tree, but I just removed my old apartment and placed the antenna on the mast of the old and it was a perfect fit. I was able then able to receive all the stations in my area at my disposal, but networks of PBS at 7-8 bars out of 10. The directional antenna is a bit 'as I turn slightly to reach a balance. I do not know why I still do not understand the 3 PBS stations in my area, but I'll be buying an amplifier to see ifsupport. I am very happy that the other stations are available in almost perfectly with the only possibility to block some station and not surrender. I am sure that with a little 'tweaking I should be able to get all the stations in my area, so I'm very happy with this antenna.
