Not wall-mountable – R. Gage –
I bought this TV for about $ 350 for my shop. I had hoped to be wall mounted so it can pan and swivel, no luck. After trying two different mounts in a wall or kept on the TV. There was too much force in pulling the top of the TV to the ground.
If you look at the photo you can see the basis That includes the TV spot, this may be back for wall mounting, making changes the center of gravity to create a lot of strength based on the TV. I left the nextmorning to find the base of the TV was broken because of this oversight engineering. Perhaps this TV was never intended to be wall mounted.
I had no luck with Magnavox to get a replacement part, so I currently have no basis for a TV stand.
I have not tried the TV with my PS3 yet, but the S-video from my satellite receiver is average at best.
NOT SURE??? – William McWilliamson –
I just bought this product yesterday … I'm coming back today. In essence, the main goal he had in mind for this set was just to watch SD content (old films, TV, games, etc.) – what else?! It 's basically all that is possible under the rules. So far so good. After much "research" and thought and advice, I decided to go with this TV, but also because it seems to be able to know when I saw on the screen target.
Well, I probably should have known, but I was going to get what I got this LCD – poor quality SD! In short, if you are looking for a Nice LCD TV for watching movies on your good old standard "games, this is NOT the TV for you! Confusion" Part of it is, what in the world is the point of this TV !?!?!? And 'know that the SD content looks much better on tube televisions, and rather shabby on the LCD and other newer technologies. So this in mind, this TVonly have the ability to view SD content (taking into account its resolution of 640×480) is essentially worthless (unless you like a super-soft, undefined image) in all areas except perhaps for related material component video ( DVD more or less). I think if that's all you want is to watch DVDs and have component outputs on your player, this TV can not be that bad (the picture is clear enough what I 've seen), but do not get high definition for it and, therefore, ismainly oriented (or should be directed) while watching television standard.
However, not necessarily "guilt" of the TV. Regarding its capabilities, I think that I was not completely satisfied with his performance – even if I stopped immediately after seeing the display of SD content, like an old Atari game. The colors and the image itself is not "bad" in any real sense. However, one major criticism I have of this series is its lack of functionality. VERY VERY plain, spread over all(Including remote control). There's really only if you can do with this TV – and this includes DVD, VHS (and what you can connect with the component connections or audio) television viewing to a certain extent (cable and broadcast live – and oh, Don t 'forget that it was not digital ATSC tuner for digital television – another factor that has allowed) and use it as a computer screen … But who would do this, since you are using the technology fundamentally wrong for the controlswant to see? Ok, I did. But I learned an important lesson on new technologies that are there, and hopefully save others the trouble to learn this lesson the hard way. What I learned is the following (which addresses a major problem on modern television) you want to see SD stick with tubes (better quality), you want HD – go with the new. It 'so simple.
Well, sorry for the conference, but I had to give the whole story on it. To summarize, be carefulWhat do you use for this TV! Are "unsafe" and a little 'disappointed by this TV for a reason … in fact, mostly the price! For this price, the TV must do much more than she can! Ultimately. If it was about $ 150 less, I might consider for its minimal benefits.
