Onkyo Blu-ray is great! Excellent image and sound. I was a big fan of Onkyo products for over 20 years. This unit completes my entertainment system to perfection. Onkyo products are always made with the best circuits and heavier is the weight that I love. I highly recommend this product to buyers.

I'm a fan of Onkyo way back. I ordered the BD696 and TX806. Deliver was quick. I have a 60 "Sony SXRD rear projection TV and JBL speakers, including a pair of 35 years L100 Studio Monitors.
The image and sound in Blu-ray in Australia and the DVD standard was exceptional. Very glad. I had a friend who is an expert in making all connections and do all the settings. It is money well spent. I think a good set-up is essential to obtain maximumperformance.
Great model two years ago – WDH –
I bought the DV BD606 as a fan of almost all Onkyo products. I have a 906 and HD DVD, which are both top notch. I was very disappointed by FUNAI re-badge. SD upconversion is right and not as good as a pioneer or Samsung 2550. It is not profile 2.0, does not decode HD audio codecs and devoid of other developments, such as Netflix Streaming.

I bought this unit from the sale of the city closed circuit on the penultimate day on the cheap. It 'really a top of the line Blu-ray. The formation of converting a regular DVD is remarkable. I understand that the processer for this player is more powerful, the Sony Play Station III. If the desired quality, the game is done.
